Hello West Central Parents and 7-12th Students!
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) department at West Central is in the process of completing a Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA). The completion of this CLNA is required for all districts accessing Carl D. Perkins dollars, the primary source of federal funding districts receive for the improvement of secondary career and technical education programs under the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (also known as Perkins V). As part of this process, our district is required to gather input from businesses, post-secondary institutions, educators, parents, and students on their attitudes, awareness, and interactions with the CTE programming offered at West Central.
We are requesting your participation in this process by completing either the Parent short survey or the Student short survey. The answers you provide, as well as the answers provided by other stakeholders, will be used to develop a plan for moving the CTE programming in our district forward in alignment with the needs of students, parents, community, and workforce.
Please complete the survey to the best of your ability by July 1. When answering these survey questions, please think about a typical academic year and not specifically of the recent weeks during the pandemic closure. Your feedback will not be shared with anyone outside the district CTE Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment team.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
